Knots and Braids

Sometimes, when faced with the inevitable, which brings chaos and uncertainty into the field of events, every attempt to bring clarity and order only complicates the situation. A passive approach fails as well: reality becomes even denser. Even resignation brings no relief. The inevitable pulls everything around it together, tying it into a tight knot of hopelessness. And it seems that the knot must be untied, that one must free oneself from the pressure of the tight threads of unforeseen circumstances. But instead of grimly plodding on in the hope of untangling them, the threads arouse a desire to braid them. Slowly and over a long time, they turn into an already ordered entanglement that is built into an intricate knot, revealing yet another level of complexity: in this tangle without beginning or end, a particular aesthetic emerges, one of resisting chaos by making form more complex. The beauty here lies in order as a meditative act, built into the complex entanglement of the inevitable course of events.
