A random subject

The main idea in the works of this series is the birth of a new form — the subject's body — according to the principle of chance. For this, a method of randomization is applied. The works also draw on the theme of creating form "in one's own image and likeness," except that this postulate is taken in the opposite sense — "without image and likeness," that is, without a plan, without a template, but precisely in random order: the subject is assembled according to the principle of chance — randomization is applied to the formation of the body's skeletal base.
The first stage is "The Beginning." Uncomplicated figures — naive and simple, distantly reminiscent of children's toys or rattles for infants.
The series "Show Me What Color You Are" depicts the further process. The scenario development of the random body's complication becomes the acquaintance of random forms with a new element of reality. The subject finds itself in space, and the first thing it encounters is patches of color. Recognizing this as new and attractive, the random subject is enchanted and imagines that some part of its body has the shade it has come to like.
Further metamorphoses take place in the series "Object Environment." The form of the random subject changes and acquires the familiar traits of other elements of reality — things. This happens through the subject's haphazard identification with objects and forms that caught its attention and that it wished to resemble. In the series "Play with an Object," the random subject discovers that the thing "on the other side" of it has qualities and properties different from its own. Something incomprehensible and unknowable prevents it from fully identifying with the thing it likes. A new object appears in the subject's reality, but it cannot absorb and "objectify" it. The random body discovers another subjectivity. Then a desire awakens within it to enter into play with it, in order to know it better.
