In the works of Irina, she considers the inner world of a person to be a kind of space that learns about itself through observation. This psychic reality, or "Self-Space", consists of three symbolic elements: sky, house, and light. It is a symbolic and individual inner construction.
Irina also sees the mental optics as dual. On the one hand, the sky symbolizes freedom. On the other hand, the house represents stability or law. Depending on a person's feelings of freedom or limitation, they strive for their opposite, which seems best to them at the moment, because they are not in that state themselves. According to Irina, a person always seeks the best for themselves. They are driven by the desire to find what they are looking for and understand what they were really seeking.
Being in the house creates a strong desire to break free. When in the sky, one wants to return home.. And only the light quietly illuminates both. He simply exists and simply watches. He is present in two places at the same time, but, forgetting about this, he hurries to his opposite side.
In the works of this project, the observer is inside the house and is overwhelmed by the desire to leave. The sky becomes a dream and a hope for him. The house feels empty and cold.
